HOTSaucE is a weekly 2 day party at Gilmores Meadows (5823 SE Johnson Creek). It is a labor of love, as the main purpose of establishing this night is to give people who live in Southeast Portland a quality place to enjoy a fun-filled weekend without having to go downtown. Lets face it. There are not many places in SE to go see a "quality" hiphop DJ (and maybe catch a short set from an up and coming local talent) in the company of family and friends. Oh, and dance your ass off...
We will be providing you with a mix of popular top40 style radio hiphop, real hiphop, and old school jams from DJs that get paid lots of money to shake fancier asses than yours. We will also be showcasing local talent in the form of our "midnight showcase" where we give a local emcee a 20 minute slot. One showcased artist per night.
The purpose of this is twofold. One to provide YOU with entertainment and two, to stimulate the economy by putting money in the pockets of the artists who selflessly help us each year with our various charity events free of charge...
Because believe me, whats going on in here is not charity. It is many things, including love. but its not charity.
So I personally encourage you to come check out what we do. I also take personal responsiblity to make sure you have a great time and come back.
